University of Galway at the 16th International Conference on Materials Chemistry!
Researchers from the University of Galway participated in the 16th International Conference on Materials Chemistry (MC16), contributing to the scientific programme with both an oral presentation and a poster presentation. The International Conference on Materials Chemistry (MC) had been a cornerstone of the materials science calendar for more than three decades. Organised by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), MC16 brought together leading materials researchers from around the world, offering a vibrant forum for scientific exchange and collaboration.
The conference provided opportunities for researchers at all career stages to present their work through oral and poster sessions, engage with peers, and build strong networks across materials chemistry and related fields.
The University of Galway delivered an oral presentation titled:“Covalently Attached Ru-Polypyridyl Complexes on Aminated Reduced Graphene Oxide for Enhancing Stable Photocatalysis”. In addition, the team presented a poster entitled: “Unveiling the Structure of Metal–Covalent Organic Frameworks: A Combined Experimental and Theoretical Approach”
Events such as MC16 play a vital role in fostering collaboration and supporting the development of next-generation materials with real-world impact.
